FAC
Co-organised artistic residencies at the Fours-à-Chaux in St-Ursanne from 2015 to 2021, with Noémie Merçay, Louis Riondel and Guillaume “Fuzz” Lachat.
The FAC consisted of several weeks of artistic residencies, held every other summer at the Fours-à-Chaux in St-Ursanne, bringing together around forty artists from a wide range of disciplines (visual, graphic and plastic arts, sound, music, writing, contemporary dance, performance, physical theatre, etc.).
The artistic work was shaped both by communal living and by the site itself, and was shared with the local community through festive evenings, introductory and experimental workshops, and open studios, where the public could witness the development of the projects.
It was an experimental approach centred on the creative process rather than the finished work. The aim was not to require the residents to create together, but rather to foster a living environment conducive to exchange and creative stimulation, allowing the different works to respond to one another, if not to intertwine.
The artists selected were established professionals in their respective disciplines, with several years of experience and projects. Approximately 30% were from the Jura region, 50% from elsewhere in Switzerland, and the remaining 20% from Europe and the rest of the world.
In total, 9 two-week artistic residencies, 10 festive evenings, 9 weekends of public openings with personalised tours, 100 artists in residence from the Jura, Switzerland, Italy, France, Germany, Russia, Hungary, China and Japan.
